Surveillance requires extraordinary patience
because it is very rare that investigators will have knowledge ahead of time as to what a surveillance subject plans to do. Every surveillance is different because every location is different.

Due to the computer and internet boom, employees of big companies and corporations in particular, waste company time and money on their respective computer terminals. Employees peruse pornographic, gambling, shopping, etc., internet sites while at work. This obviously interrupts employee productivity

Another common problem is company
theft. Employees
will use company shipping terminals to commit crimes by routing product to non-legitimate locations, where that product is then picked up and sold “on the side”. Companies frequently do not know this is happening and the adverse impact is two-fold; they are losing money and legitimate clients get upset because they are not receiving their product.
